Making Making Major Modes More ManageableDate: 13:15 11/12-15

Have you just found your new favourite language, only to discover that it does not have proper development tools for your favorite editor?
Worry not! This talk will guide you (and me) through the process of making a developer environment that solves exactly your problem! (as long as your favorite editor is Emacs (perhaps not likely), your favourite language is Appel's Tiger (much more likely), and you only need what I can code in 1½ hours).
I will create a Tiger (of dOvs fame) major mode for Emacs with syntax highlighting and on-the-fly syntax/semantic analysis (red squigly lines). More features may or may not be added.
