Git WorkshopDate: 13:15 27/11-15

I think we have all worked on a programming project during which we have made a copy of the entire project in order not to break our code. This approach might be fine for tiny projects but it does not scale very well. A widely used alternative is to use "version control software". Version control software allows you to have “versions” of a project, which show the changes that were made to the code over time, and allows you to backtrack if necessary and undo those changes.
This friday we will have a workshop where you can get comfortable with a particular version control system, namely Git.
You should bring your laptop, but you are not required to have Git installed.
